    Re: 63 radiator decals

I too was judged with the wrong Harrison label on my 62 at regional in Novi and nationals in St.Charles. I orinally had the Paragon label out of the catalog. The label the judge wanted was the the thin foil type that was on the late 63,this label looks nothing like the one in Nolan Adams book.I now have both labels but would like some clarification on which one goes on the 62.
Also, which way it is installed(read from the rear)or from front? I know it makes more sense, from the rear but at thi point I am not taking any chances.

Does that mean my radiator in not original or is it that the Harrision label got changed at some time?
Is it possible that some early cars had the thin foil Harrison sticker instead of the thicker plate type.
      James,

As far as I know, all early 63 radiators used the plate instead of the thin foil sticker. If I rememver correctly, the plate was used to somewhere around Jan or Feb of 63? Maybe someone can verify the month.

What is the month/year on the top of your radiator?

        Michael,
The date on the top of the radiator is 62 J. That date also matches the date on my heater core (Harrison 62 J) that I pulled out two years ago for a recore and the heater was most certainly original. So I suspect that the radiator is also original.

That certainly would put the radiator, and caution plate, in the early category.

I haven't seen the reproduction of the early style (thick) plate but I assume the quality is good.

John, Just a FYI, our Feb 63 car has it's original radiator(63A) and it has the thin foil tag.

My late Feb. 63 build has the thick lable. I beleve the build date for the car was the 22 of Feb. the radiator date code is stamped 62M. There is no evidence of a inspection sticker or a caution Labe. However this could be do to 46 years of life.
