Tan....friend use to have a 64 roadster in triple saddle tan, stunning.

I agree. If the paint, interior and soft top were the same shade of tan, the combo wouldn't work but since all are slightly different shades of tan, one seems to accent the other.
The top color is actually called beige, not saddle.

If a 63-64 conv is saddle tan with black interior, I would probably consider the black soft top, but would probably still go with tan.

For whatever reason I have a hard time liking a saddle tan car with a black top but when reversed, a black car with saddle top, that looks good. Something must have happened to my brain when I was a kid, maybe one of my parents dropped me on my head.

Jaysus..........I agree 100%. Really! I'm not joking, and I can't say why either. But I love a black car with a tan top, but not vice-versa.
