John, was 1972 the first year that code ZP2, Color & Trim Override appeared on Chev options, prices and production quantities (looking at my copy of the NCRS Pocket Spec Guide) ?

I don't know if that scheduling option was used on C3's prior to '72 or not; someone more familiar with C3 documentation may chime in.

I have never seen any kind of over-ride code on documentation before 1972, but I have not seen ALL the prior years of C3 production. And, of course, there had to be some way for them to over-ride the standard trim/paint combinations before 1972, because cars like that exist. I can assure you that it was not recorded in Chevrolet’s documentation prior to 1972. That is why it is first listed there in the NCRS Spec Guide.
