C3 Carpet Seat Track Cut-Outs

I looked through the archives and there are several threads on C1 & C2's but not much for C3's.

I plan to use the seat tracks as a template. How are the seat track cut-outs configured for my '69?

Are there flaps front and rear or only on the front with a full cutout for the rear?

Are the flap hinges from the front & rear or from the sides. If from the side, hinge on the inside or outside?

If from the front & rear, how wide are they? Just as wide as the track or a little wider?

Rears are easy - they have a hole thru the carpet only where the bolt goes through.

Fronts have flaps with the "hinge" in front, a bit wider than the track. The flap extends forward from approximately the location of the bolt. There is then a similar-sized rectangle of carpet that is removed so that the track sits on the floor. Imagine making a cut like an "H". The center of the H's crossbar is over the bolt with the top of the H toward the firewall and the bottom towards the rear. You will then make an additional cut to remove the bottom half of the H.

I am not criticizing Patrick's description above, but C3s extend from 1968 to 1982, as we all know. I am not so sure that the same carpet cuts were used through all those years. I don't know for sure, as interior is not my strong suit; but that is a real long span for something to be the same.

The short part of this post is -- Gary, you would have a much greater chance of getting an accurate answer if you were willing to share with us the year (or even approximate year) you are asking about.

Then Patrick is right on for Gary, and there may be pictures of the requested location in Patrick's 1972 photos (they would be the same as 1969) int he link to his 1972 in his signature.

I failed to note the the OP, Michel, also failed to share the year of his car. I guess I have a bug up ..... this afternoon.

Did not some or maybe all of 69 production the carpet was also cut for the rear seat mount unlike later C3's or am I getting old and confused.

On my 69 convertible I have cut outs in the carpet for the seat tracks both front and back. I've attached a couple pictures. I hope this helps.

I'm not the original owner. Carpet has the correct IMCO football logo so I'm pretty sure it is original. The previous owner had it flight judged and the car received no deductions for the carpet.

Thanks for info on the IMCO football logo. Where is this located on the carpet? drivers side , passenger side, topside, bottom.
i'd like to see if my car has this logo.

Remove floor mat on drivers side. Use strong flashlight and magnifying glass could be helpful to some. It is located on the plastic piece sewn into the carpet blelow the brake/clutch pedals. My 70 has the original carpets and it was found.
