Was the one shot enough or do you need more? My pan is off right now I could get you more if you need them.

Re: original 55 oil pan photos please
Call Mr. Kerbeck and ask him to have one of his "documentation specialists" take a picture of the pan in "Old EX-122"........- Top

Re: original 55 oil pan photos please
QUESTION ABOUT "55" OIL PAN....
Did the "55" oil pan come two ways? With or without a baffle.
The picture of Roy's pan has a baffle.
This picture shows no baffle..
In my Chevrolet Parts Book ...Effective Feb. 1st, 1961
Listed in.. Gp. #1.426 PAN-PAN UNIT, Oil,with Drain Screw
55 ALL,CORVETTE (8cyl.) 18 Holes - w/o baffle #3704925 1 $12.70
Roy's pan...same GM number.
Assuming an Engineering change for better oil collection by oil sump,
would a person be better off going thru the expense to buy and use the baffled pan?

Re: original 55 oil pan photos please
The baffle was a running change but when ? The truck also used the same oil pan that I know of, 55 oil pan is all by it's self . Even now finding a good oil pan can run $300.00 and up like the intake, again 55 only intake nothing els like it. Even the front timing cover is rare, also the oil dip stick tube (fits no other engine) and oil stick is all by it's self (vary rare to find)The JM dont memtion the timing cover or oil stick

Re: original 55 oil pan photos please
Karl, my car is #175. It was previously a drag car, I bought it from a guy who raced it ( 454 with a Muncie M21...) I converted it back to a 265 and cast iron PG out of a passenger car. My car is a driver, many reproduction parts...
