Help identify this engine

Friend of mine has a 1955 265 V-8 casting 3702534 and stamped OI22785F55F. Can anyone advise what application this might be from? He has both a 2 and 4 barrel manifold and it would be nice to know which is correct for an engine so stamped.

If it's a 1955 engine, then it's a 162 HP with 2 barrel carb originally installed in a passenger car or truck with Powerglide transmission.

What is the date code on the block?

Thanks Joe. You're the greatest with numbers.

As I recall the date codes is "A215". January 21st I believe. Heads are cast within a few days of the block.
