I'm restoring the chassis on my 67 and had a couple questions about the cables and attachments for the seat belts to the frame and that area. The judging guide mentions "The steel "birdcage" assembly is visible under the door sill area. This area is typically painted with zinc chromate paint." Does that mean the "birdcage" assemblies are painted zinc chromate or that area of the frame they are mounted to is painted or both? Thanks for any input. Shooter

Is this the anchor point you're referring to? The metal piece that sits around the corner, closest to the camera lens in the this picture? I painted mine black.

Chris, Yes that is the area. Like Bill just posted, I believe it is suppose to be painted the greenish color that is visable in your first picture in the channel under the door sill. Thanks for posting. Shooter- Top
