    T3 Headlights for a '72

Are there current reproductions available for 1972 T3 Headlamps? I've not been able to find anything. If not, what can be used to minimize the points deducted in flight judging?

    They are not reproduced.

But I am sure there may be someone on here that has an extra set -

Unfortunately, we're on our own. These were a 1yr only production for the Corvettes and I believe for any of the other 72GM "4 small headlight" cars. That's why nobody is reproducing them. They used to be able to be found for $25-$40 ea. The last 2 Hi Beam set I saw sold for $150. for the pr with several people bidding on them. Yes, I passed at $80.

The point loss is very clear in the judging manual. I don't believe they give partial credit for the same brand but wrong year. That would be an answer from the judges here. Not much help for you, but at least you know to stop looking

Buy two original high beam 72 T-3's as they should be reasonable in price. This shoud get you condition points and save half the deduction. If you can't find any bulbs E-Mail me as I have a source for the bulbs you need.

I bought a complete used set but in good condition off Ebay a couple of years ago and have seen the correct ones come up from time to time. Check with Jack Humphrey a Forum member, he may be able to help.

How can you tell the date of a T-3 headlight? Thanks

              Chris,
The prints for the T3s ghave been posted here two of three times.

I used the search feature and in less than a minute I found this thread with a link to one of the threads in which the chart was posted.
