One thing that always "bugged me". Bolt-ons are repros stamped "Made In China". Kinda seemed to just ruin the car for me! My car is a sissy car as it is - 327/300hp powerglide with AC, PS and PB. Just seemed like the whitewalls fit. Guess I'll need to buy a dress to drive her!!!

I didn't realize that so many women drove corvettes in 67. Over 50% were built with ww tires.

I've had WW's, Goldlines, Redlines, on rallyes and bolt on's. I have ditched the bolt ons and and gone back to WW's on the rallyes.

Thanks everybody. I primarily chose the whitewalls since my car was white and I thought it would look cool as well period correct. Didn't know about the macho things, but now I do. My wife would kill me if I purchased a third set of perfectly good blackwall tires for the car She already doesn't understand the need for two sets! Makes perfect sense to me!

About the chick thing. When I was young( born 1935). The difference between whitewalls and blackwalls was how rich you were. I never saw a Cadilliac or Packard with blackwalls. I remember during the second world war you could not get tires. We have come a long way, disagreeing over blackwalls, whitewalls, or redlines. Just a thought Dale

Not that I like WW to much but the car came that way and I say WW and rally's is the way.

I love BO wheels and even bought a set for my 67 last year. I admit though that I am a stickler and decided to go back to the way that the car was originally equipped ie. rallys and redlines. My vote for you is WW and rallys. I even sold the BOs.

Kirk, Please keep in mind Its YOUR car. The read your getting is just that. A read. If Black Walls are your preference. Flip the white walls over or redlines. It still just a car. Not you wife, kids, or friends. Any choice of tire wheel combo will work as long as You like it. Later, Jay

My car originally (when I bought it) came with an older set of bolt-on rims to which I added Diamondback Redline Radials (front tire on the car). I have been driving with these for the past several years. Love them. This past winter I acquired a set of five original DC GM KH rims and a complete set of four original four clip trim rings and center caps. Had the trim rings and caps restored this winter - they look great. I also purchased a new set of 5/8" ww bias ply tires from Kelsey Tires. Had the tires mounted to the rims a few weeks back and decided to see what one would look like mounted (rear tire on the car). No I am not planning to drive it this way! Just thought it might be interesting to see which rim and tire people liked best! So, send in your votes

White walls don't belong on a Vette. Just my .02 worth of input. The red lines look sinister. I would put a set on miy car but I have a 66 and the red lines didn't come out until 67.

Jay is dead right on the money. You should have the car as YOU like, not as others may advise. Nothing wrong with gathering opinions. In my view, a smart person evaluates the opinions of others, considers all the options and possible consequences, and then decides for themself.

One thing about it, you have a gorgeous Corvette, either way you go. Thanks for sharing the pics.
