    Side Window Install

The "grip strip" in my car disintegrated and the window cam loose. I have it all apart, but it is not addressed in my factory shop manual. Do you just wrap it around the window and seat the metal piece with a soft mallet? Do you enhance the bond with some weatherstrip adhesive?

    thanks in advance,

    John Myers

When I did mine, I simply sprayed soapy water onto the new channel liner material and used a rubber mallet to seat the glass into the retainer channel.
