I just thought it was worth repeating at this time. I also wanted to point out grooves as opposed to raised ribs..

FWIW: I was looking at the one hose that failed on my 1970 -- the one from the intake to the heater core. It has the letter U in white on it about every 4.5 to 6-inches along its length.

On my '69 that "capped off nipple" is the vacuum line for the AIR pump. Is the Carb the correct number for your car?

I think I read your post incorrectly and I apologize. The carb is not on your car but from your research. The capped pipe is still for the AIR pump.

Jeffrey... I was told this is a very original car. I do not believe a 70 L-46 has the AIR system. Mine does not. Got me to thinking about it being a calif only for 70 L-46 which uses a 7040205 crb and not the '207. Maybe someone will chime in. Thanks
