I agree with the comment that the appointments probably represent the mix of car owners in the US and maybe that is a good thing. Why bother having people who are just going to agree with your broken business model? Bring in people who are critical of your practices and push them to change to a successful business model. I think Detroit has had too many "yes men" over the years and following the herd took them over the cliff...

I hope they succeed, the economy does in part depend on us being able to compete in a world market. Trade agreements are a whole 'nother issue.

I look at this more like....Wow! There's a Corvette in there! Really didn't expect any of them to have one....especially a '67.
Did notice the remark by Joan DeBoer....owns a 2008 Lexus RX350...."views it as a way to get around town". Huh? Why isn't she driving a 1972 Volkswagen then?
