Indeed it does. It is a nice "concept" car, but in reality it is much less practical than the original. In fact, truth be known, I think the C-2 design Corvette is still the most beautiful car ever. I never get tired of mine, in fact I often just stand back and admire it - from any angle. Wasn't too long ago there was a world wide survey done to establish the 100 best car designs ever and the C-2 "mid-year" Stingray came in at number 1. In the story they showed a 63, but in text they broadened it to cover the full series. That was a few years back, and I don't know of too many recent pretenders to the crown.

The concept is the most egregious POS I've ever seen. The only thing I can think of that is more disgusting is the puking bay in the eTrade commercials.

I know what you mean. Sometimes I think the car is "bigger" than I am. I try to only get in that mindset at car shows. I wouldn't get anything done around it if I was perpetually in that frame of mind. They say pride is one of the seven deadly sins. You can't help it around this car.

A friend of mine has a book (a few years old) that indicates that the '63 SWC is one of the 10 most photographed cars EVER in the world. That's not the reason I bought mine but after mine had been restored, I can see why. At my first car show I had 5 cameras at once taking pictures of the car. That blew my mind.
