Terry, My research info. came from 70 corvette registry and searchable members listed on this web site, however, I now see this is not all ncrs members. Steve

Yes a long way from ALL NCRS members -- more like 1% of the active NCRS membership.

As best I remember the owner of #4 when I saw it in 1995 was not an NCRS member. I have been told the car was sold after that time, and I don't recall if the new owner was an NCRS member. I doubt I have either name anyway. I just am not optimistic I have the information to tell if that car has AC or not.

That still leaves six 1970 Corvettes that were built before #9 that may or may not have had AC.

This reminds me of some individuals years ago who were trying to identify there last-day-of-production 1969 as the last 435 Hp Corvette. They had something around 50 or so cars to identify.

Yes the registries are independent web sites with data contributed. There is no NCRS central repository of what members own what cars, nor how they're configured. The only time a car gets 'recorded' is when it's presented for judging.

That said, S/N eight lives down the road from me and it's an L48 convertible, 4-speed, 2-tops, no air. The owner is NOT an NCRS member...

As of today, there are 3572 members listed, not enough for any conclusions by far, however, #9 still looks to be first 70' a/c equipped corvette and has many other options that is somewhat rare as well, that is until another previous production car can be identified. Steve
