C1 Front Motor Mount Bolts Inspection Marking

It's my understanding that the two front large motor mount bolts (WB2C)which go up from the bottom of the large motor mount cushions which then are fastened by a washer and nut have an inspection marking swiped across that nut. What color should this marking be?

The inspection marks should be red.

Can you elaborate on this marking? Is it paint? Is it a dot, or a line?

What year do you have? They used to want them on 58-60 but now say it is 61-62 only. I always used fingernail polish and paint the whole top of the bolt.

I was asking about a 1962.

In addition to the top of the bolt, does the paint also go onto the nuts? Onto the washers?

Matbe on the nut but not on washer.

A number of years ago I restored a '62. The red paint was on the end of the bolt, nut, washer, as well as the radio ground strap. I doubt that there was too much concern about what was hit.

Does anyone have an actual picture of an original or possibly some sort of documentation on this "inspection mark"?
