    Curious as to why this same pad comes back up?

    My vote is the VIN doesn't look exactly right, but would need a high rez photo to compare to others in that same time frame.

      I would not consider this pad machining and stampings original to the Corvette it is in. My vote restamp.

          Richard, no rat tail file, a very large high speed die grinder was used to correct errors in the stamps during that era
