67 427 hood pin stripe width

Can't seem to find the width of the pinstripe painted on the BB hoods for 1967. Also, what was the spacing between the pinstripe and the center paint?

Ray, here's a photo of the hood removed from my February 1967 built convertible, that still has the original lacquer paint as it left St. Louis with. The pinstripe measures 1/8th inch, and the gap between the pinstripe and the center painted section of the stinger, measures 5/16ths. In a few places, the 5/16ths gap widens to closer to 3/8ths.
p.s. the hood has now been removed from our bedroom, back to the garage, but that was my decision, and not ordered by my wife. (yeah,.....right).
    Hope this helps, Ridge.

Perfect Ridge! Just what I was looking for, and from an original hood! Yikes, can't get any more spot on then that! Thanks! Of course, she could have you go sleep in the garage and keep the hood in the bedroom. I think you lucked out.......

Some time back Wayne Womble posted a picture with measurement of an original hood. Do a search under his name

That is our own Steve Lavigne's photo, but it is so good it really makes the rounds (I know I have posted it a few places). I guess a picture is worth 1000 words.

Here is a photo Wayne Womble posted, I am pretty sure it is the same one Dick is talking about.

Thanks. I thought so, also. My wife walked into the bedroom, and asked why it was in there. I told her it would be a very safe place for storage, and, we could admire it. I got one final comment from her,..."out of here".
Sooooooo, it's sitting back on the car, for now. Sometimes you can win the battle, yet still lose the war. Ridge.

Sometimes "accomodating" is best. Before my wife and I were married we had a discussion, the Corvettes, the books/magazines, the parts, etc. were BM; Before Marriage, and they will not go away after marriage. She has been very good about it, since our daily drivers set out, I have over a hundred bankers boxes filled with car magazines, parts in a bedroom and bath (wheels, tachs, 6 Blue Streaks, etc.) and 400+ models. I had to put them there, the garage is full. She seldom says anything but when she does I remind her of our agreement. Actually she is just "accomodating" me as I told her the value of these things and she is just waiting for me to die. Well, whatever works. I still have them.
