Here is what I have on my 67 convertible built April 18, 1967:
WINDSHIELD (2/67)
SHADED
SOFT-RAY
SAFETY L PLATE
O
AS1 F XZ X = Feb; Z = 1967
LAMINATED
M4
RIGHT VENT (4/66) LEFT VENT (1/67)
AS2 = side glass
SOFT-RAY G = April SOFT-RAY
SAFETY L PLATE A = 1966 SAFETY L PLATE
O N = January O
AS2 F GA Z = 1967 AS2 F NZ
SOLID TEMPERED SOLID TEMPERED
M54 M54
RIGHT SIDE WINDOW (2/67) LEFT SIDE WINDOW (2/67)
AS2 = side glass
SOFT-RAY X = February SOFT-RAY
SAFETY L PLATE Z = 1967 SAFETY L PLATE
O O
AS2 F XZ AS2 F XZ
SOLID TEMPERED SOLID TEMPERED
M54 M54
As you can see, everything seems ok except the pass side vent window which is dated APRIL 66. I understand glass was replaced, but the wear on the vent and its seals is identical to the properly dated other vent and windows. Seems weird that a replacement vent would be BACK-DATED to early 1966 doesn't it??? Any thoughts.
