'60 door panel repair

On a '60, what is the best fix where the doorpanel screws go into the fiberglass under the panel? Since there are no nuts used, the screws just pull out of the fiberglass.

I've used thin sheet metal glued on the back side , never will strip again

agree with roy. use metal on back side but i rivet the metal in place. its time consuming to do all the screw holes on both doors but worth it.mike

I have used plastic anchors---my advise don't. They do not hold. The sheet metal works very well. Vendors have a "repair kit" but I have never used one.

good idea and much quicker than mine.mike
