    C1 Steering Wheel Mount

Mounting steering wheel for the first time and when the nut seems to be fully tightened, there is approx a 5/8" gap between the hubs. The spring that lies on the shaft seems to keep it from moving closer together. Does the spring need to be installed in a different manner? What is the solution? Thanks. Richard

Another thought, the inner hub is mounted flush to the instrument pod, sliding over a small tab at the top of the shaft. Could this be moved up, closer to the steering wheel hub, to overcome the gap issue?

loosen the pan head phillips machine screw that clamps the directional signal housing to the steering col mast jacket and slide the dir signal housing to within a 1/4 to 1/8" of the steering wheel hub. mike
