72bb Carb vac lines

Hi all, Just trying to figure out the correct place for the vacuum lines onto the rochester carb. At the moment the line on the front left lower side is going to the distributor & the one one the right at the top is going to a canister behind the side grills on the L/H side. The Dobbins book shows the lines set up opposite. Which is correct & does it make a difference?

Do you have DR rebuild catalog? He shows a lot of the vacuum lines that he sell's for the different years and might show you what your looking for.

Is your car an automatic or 4spd?

I have some good picstues at home I can post, they are for 4spd setup.

Thanks Bill, they show me that someone definitly has the lines on the wrong way. I will also use those photos when i reinstall the smog system onto the car
