this stupid "car leasing" is what helped get GM in trouble. selling cars to people who could not afford them just like the home mortgage deal. GM now is loaded with used cars it can't sell because they are worth not near what GM has tied up in them. the auto auction lots are full of the off lease cars that no one wants.

What's amazing to me is that I remember just a few years ago, the auto makers were posting record profits. It was attributed to selling so many SUVs which where high profit margin vehicles. It's incredible how quickly things can change.

GM spends money like a drunken fool. They wanted to pay the Doors 15 mil to use the song Break on through to the other side. How many cars does that sell???

you are correct because there are not to many 250#+ soccer moms that will fit into a prius
