One of my outside mechanics has it in his commercial garage and swears by it. There are residential-sized units available. One (potential) problem is the nature of radiant heating from one of these units. I would be concerned about the radiant heat effect on a Corvette body long-term and at close range (a few feet). I plan to install a four post lift and store the Corvette on top, which would be very close to where I'd have to run a radiant heater. I have the brochure for one of these units and it specifies clearance from flammables (like a flannel car cover), which, in my case, wouldn't have given me enough room. So I'm going with a gas space heater.
