I spent many weekends with Marvin & Joan going to Joplin & Tulsa in the early days of the St Louis Chapter . Marvins family and his corvette friends were always very important to him. He will be missed by his friends .Bill

So much for procrastination! I've been putting my 74 off for judging for the last 2 years due to my laziness and lack of knowledge. Now after reading what an opportunity I've missed by meeting and dealing with what sounds like a GREAT Team Leader in Marvin I wish I could turn back the clock. My thoughts are with you; family and friends.

I have also had the pleasure of counting Marvin & Joan as friends in our NCRS circle. He will be sorely missed...

I was very saddend to hear of Marvin's passing when I signed onto the message board today.

I have only known Marvin and Joan since I became interested in NCRS judging. I have been in NCRS family for many many years, but the amount of knowlege I have learned from Marvin in his solf and gentle manner has been great.

I always looked forward to seeing him at the Meets and Schools and knew the 73-77 Judging Teams were always in good hands with him at the helm.

It won't be the same not seeing him. I will miss him greatly.

My prayers are with you Joan and your family.

            Rest in peace my friend.

First time on line in a bit and was very disappointed to see this post. I met Mr. Burnett in Kissimmee during Flight judging in February 2006 and was impressed by his interest in 1973's. Their was a J.T. Stevens tag on the carpeting in my car which he came by and photographed. I also am aware that he was very interested in getting more 1973 through 1977 cars to the judging fields. Very sad news for all NCRS members and his family.

Re: Marvin Burnett 73-77 National Team Leader

I met Marvin in the late 80's when he and I talked about the door jams on my wife Dee's 77 Corvette. Dee bought it new and it was delivered from the factory as a Corvette Orange car, with the driver jam painted black and the passanger jam was painted completely orange.

We laughted about the 'quality' of assembly, but Marvin took the info seriously and used it to help create an excellent manual.

I was suppose to go to Bend, and could not due to my own health reasons.

I will see you on the other side Marv. Rest in Peace.

I had the chance to judge a few times for Marvin's team and it was a real pleasure. I also got to meet Joan as a driver for her this year in the parade at the National and it was a real treat. My wife Sarina and I extend our deepest sympathy's to Joan and her family. Marvin will be missed.
