When Used Thru Injection or Carburetor
    • Cleans carbon build up
    • Cleans intake valves and pistons
    • Gives smoother idle
    • Cleans catalytic converter odors
    • Cures hesitations and pings
    • Restores power and pickup
    • With warm engine running, SLOWLY pour 1/2 pint through carburator, throttle body or direct manifold vacuum line that will feed ALL CYLINDERS. Possible sources are P.C.V. valve or brake booster line. Turn ignition off. Restart engine after 5 minutes. Be sure exhaust is well ventilated. Fumes will be extreme for a short period of time.
    • Spraying water does the same thing down the Carb!

      30%---------decomposed marine fauna protoplasm
      20%---------SSSSSSSnake oyl
      10%---------chum residue

Actually, most of these products contain a very high percentage of garden variety kerosene and/or #2 fuel oil, with some aromatics tossed in fer good measure.
Iffen you wanna purge your engine of top cylinder deposits, a JUDICIOUS application of Roy's method works quite well!

Sounds almost too good to pour down a carburetor. I think I'd go with the water as it is bound to be cheaper.

The Land Rover owner's forum is moderated by a retired service manager and he swears by seafoam for the Rover V8 (an old Buick design from the early 60's with cyl. sleeves). I have yet to try it on my old LR but a lot of the members there have done it and all of them say the truck runs much better.

Bob Kunz recommended it for the tank after I had him do my carbs. I tried it and did it really make a difference.....................I really don't know but his rebuilds were great.

I pour transmission fluid down the carb while keeping the engine running. It makes a lot of smoke but seems to clean the inside of the engine well. You can tell by the better idle. Typically, I pour a quart through the engine before I drive it on the interstate for a few miles.

Trans fluid added to the gas tank is said to clean the injectors on newer cars. I've done it, but can't say it did much.

I don't know what it is made of, but I use it as a winter fuel stabilizer in my caes and in my boats instead of Stabil. It has been recomended by several marine dealers as beter than Stabil. I bought a boat with a 150 hp motor that had been sitting for a couple of years. It ran OK at first but after a few hours of use it wouldn't idle. After a couple of cans of Sea Foam it started running better and has been for last 3 years. Iuse it every fall as a fuel stabilizer.
