    Re: Glass Cleaner

I recently purchased aproduct called Diamonite and use a microfiber cloth.

The results are amazing, I could not believe a glass cleaner could make such a difference!

Sometimes I gotta look twice to see if there is glass there !

We could probably ALL start a glass cleaning business with cabinet full of half-3/4 cans and bottles of glass cleaner we have set aside. Promises of clear glass/ streaky clean/film free/invisible and on and on.

      Vinegar and water here.

Vinegar for me too. No streaks...and it's dirt cheap.

I just had my GMC Yukon detailed and the windows were absolutely horrible. So I saw my friend at a Labor day picnic and handed him a can of Stoners invisible glass ans said try his as whatever else you are using is horrible. I agree with most of the gang here that Stoners has the best glass cleaner. Not cheap though. JD

I've never tried it but was told that 3 to 4 drops of Dawn dish soap ( I think he said the blue stuff ) in a 16 oz. pumper bottle does the job.

Windex and a good newspaper print (not the colored ads) has worked for me for over 40 years.

A wet microfiber towel to clean all glass surfaces followed by a dry cotton towel will leave a crystal clear result with no chemical residue and its much cheaper. As for any clear plastic, plexus will offer the best care and protection.

After reading these posts on Stoners Invisible Glass it sounds like great stuff. Has anyone had experience with taking the spots and what appears to be water stains off car windows..daily drivers. In Maryland we seem to have a lot of industrial fallout...at least that's what they call it...and most vehicles that sit outside have pretty funky windows and windshields. I have tried everything and have had no luck. THink this stuff will woek??

                    Chris,

I took my 71 to a friends house and we stayed overnight. The sprinkler system went on in the early morning and left me with spots that would not leave despite the hardest rubbing. I used turtle wax liquid and the windows came out clear as glass. I had remembered an old product called glass wax and that's what put me on to it. It should get out the stubborn spots.

Discontinued. Replaced by GM #89021822. I believe the latter is exactly the same product as Stoner's Invisible Glass.
