    Glass Cleaner

I am wondering what brand of glass cleaner is the best to use on my C-2 windows. I always thought that Windex was great, but lately I think it leaves a film on them. Anyone with some good glass cleaning tips??
Also, what about cleaning the "plastic" rear window of a convertible?
    Thanks for any help here.

    Larry -

A couple of years ago I tried Stoner's "Invisible Glass", and it's the best glass cleaner I've ever used. My wife tried it, threw out her Windex, and I had to buy several more cans. Good stuff.

      Larry,
I have always had good luck using Stoners Invisible Glass and old newspapers. Leaves glass clear and streak free.
On the plastic rear window I just wipe it down with a damp sponge.

        LARRY-
I've found that adding some more amonia to the Windex product and using old newspapers works really well for me, no streaking or film residue.

I also recommend the "invisible glass" product. I only tried it last week and think it's the best by far. My original 65 windshield has many small pits, so keeping it clean is a must. I use the microfiber cloth rags, no streaks what's so ever, and they are washable. Great products!!!!!!!!!!!

The glass cleaner made by Griot's garage is the best I've ever used.

Stoners Invisible Glass. GREAT stuff. I buy it at my local Salvo Auto Parts store.

I have to laugh..........I gave a spray can to my wife to try several years ago.

Now, it's all she uses. When my garage can is missing, I know she's run out in the kitchen, and snagged mine.

Thanks to everyone. Sounds like I'd better get an extra can for my wife.

To avoid the chemical residue, nothing cleans better or lasts longer than cleaning with a moist chamois and buffing with paper towels.

                        Larry,

I'm sure you know not to use anything but soap and water cleaning the plastic convertible rear window. Ammonia will dry it and plexiglass out. I've had good luck using Maquires' PlastX on both applications.

                          Good Point, David.
                          Completely different story on plexiglas.
Never use a chamois on plastic, it is abrasive to the plastic and will leave marks.

I threw out the Stoners, streaked to much, the Windex went in the trash, not clean enough, newspapers to messy, I only use Vinegar & water, 2 tsp. to 8 cups water. Spray it on, wipe it off and follow with another clean cloth.
Sometimes I gotta look twice to see if there is glass there !

Add me to the "Missing Stoner Invisible Glass Can" list. I think they must have a secret show on QVC that tells ladies to go to the garage and swipe the best window cleaner on the planet.

I keep finding mine under the sink. Imagine that.

I just bought 5 more cans at Corvette Carlisle. Take THAT QVC!
