    Re: 58-60 pricing.....

No Mark I didn't see that one but that is just what I'm looking for and Dad would have loved it. To be honest I would have been very leery about the ad because of the price...thinking it was a scam. But since all cars look better in pics than real life maybe it was a realistic price but still under valued.

I don't expect to find a deal like this but if one came along I wouldn't toss it back! This just shows that there are cars out there that people are willing to part with for what they are worth today instead of hoping to get what they were worth last year or the year before.

As I learn more and more I know that a reasonable 10' driver is do-able in the 35k range. I've come across several 61-62 10' drivers in the lower to mid 30s but no real 58-60s yet. Are the 61-62s less valued than the 58-60s or is this just my luck......

      Re: 58-60 pricing.....

Thanks James but I'll have to pass. That sounds like a great car but we're not not looking a project right now. It makes more sense for us to put off putting his 55 T-Bird project back together for now and just finding a complete driver 58-60 Corvette that he can hop into a enjoy.

I'll get his T-Bird finished once my 69 is back together. Too many projects as it is.....

This is starting to look like a want ad thread and that's not my intent. I'm just trying to educate myself on what to look for and what realistic pricing is for a 58-60 for my Dad. Any hints or suggestions on where to find one are appreciated because all I know where to look is on ebay, hemmings, auto trader and general net surfing which are mostly dealers. The craigs list trick that Mark posted is neat so tips like that help too. I call it a trick because I'm not that great at searching the net but I'm trying....

        Greg - I haven't noticed 61-62's being less than 58-60's.

I watched this one last week and it sold with no reserve.

Seemed like a nice car and a good price. Maybe you can contact him and see if the sale fell through.

Don't know what the 62 on e-bay sold for, but I like the 62. If I was going to buy a C1, that is the year I would want. A white one with red interior and it has be be FI, just like the one I had my first Corvette ride in back in 1962. It was a original owner car.
