    1968 cast iron thermostat housing

In the the 1968 judging manaul it states that a cast iron thermostat housing was used, I have an early 68 435 horse (serial# 3907) car. Is this correct? and if so what is the part # or how can I identify it.
    Thanks Bob Moon

It's difficult to see the pn# because of the carb but it looks like 3677660 and the pn#is on the base of the housing and not the neck where the hose attaches.

All 1968's, except L-88, used the GM #3877660 ALUMINUM thermostat housing.

You can see that the manual is about as clear as mud on that issue! Comments duly noted

Thanks Guys; The reason I asked my 427-435 also has the 3776660 aluminum housing but the part # is located on the neck not on the housing as Jack Corso described.
