    Re: 56 Chassis Detail

Original asphaltic paint would now be considered non-original because it will never be seen again on a restored Corvette (not factory? Oh! My)Looking under my Corvette (asphaltic paint) because it's driven the paint will show wear (does wear off-gas or oil ) so for get having any judge crawling under it.

      Gary,

I've probably heard the most positive remarks from people on Eastwoods original chassis black semi gloss, that it's durable and fairly easy to apply, so unless I hear of some bad experiences, I may go with that.

      Thanks!

Mark: I used a product called Chassis Black from a local auto body supply shop. It worked great, and you can spray it right out of the can without reducing it.
