I am replacing my rear springs with original re arc springs, what should the curb height be on the car and where do I measure it from.
    Thanks

Those dimensions are also in the ST-12 Manual. Good idea to purchase both. The NCRS store has both by the way. If I was home I would look it up for you but won't be there till Tuesday. Someone will surely pipe in with that for you.

Where is it in the assembly manual? Can't find the page either.

          The dimensions per the ST-12.

Measured from the bottom of the rocker molding to the ground. 6.7" at the front end and 8.2" at the rear. This is in section 0.

Section 14 calls out a "Vehicle Height" of 11" +/- 1/2" for standard springs and 8 3/4" for H.D. I did not find where it shows how this is measured.

          Good luck

          John

Thanks for the help but I may not have the right manuals that everyone has been referring to. I have the 1962 Corvette Assembly Manual, 53-62 Corvette Servicing Guide, and the 61-62 CTIMJG. I can't find the pages you are referring to.

The front ride height measurement is shown in the ST-12 on page 3-2, in the photo (figure 3); the desired dimension is shown in the "Specifications" section in the back (Section 14) under "Front Suspension", "Vehicle Height".

I don't have a '62 Assembly Manual, but the rear ride height is shown in the '57 A.I.M. at the end of Section 3, in a chart that shows the dimension between the top of the axle tube and the bottom of the frame directly above it as 3.80" at curb height; the '62 A.I.M. should have a similar chart.

Both of the above measurements are independent of tire size - they measure actual deflection of the spring; the rocker-to-ground measurements will vary due to tire size.

Will new shocks in the rear increase the curb height a little? Any recs?
