Loose motor mounts will also cause clutch chatter, no common, but I would check them

Just for insurance, you might ask the parade planning committee to consider reversing the parade route. (Downhill?)

      Mike,

If you look at the date on that initial post it was quite sometime ago (almost two years).

Since then I've had the clutch replaced and flywheel turned. End of problem,
worked just fine on the 2009 Road tour.

But I still don't have the political clout to get them to reverse the parade route to go downhill. They claim they then have problems with the horses and other parade vehicles.

      All's well with the 67.

If you can live with it - that's okay, but if you do install a new one, take the flywheel to a machine shop, have them check it for runout, and if any is present, take a minimum cut to eliminate it.

        Duke,

As you know LUK recommends and uses a roller pilot bearing. Your thoughts on the efficiency and effectivness of roller pilot bearings as they compare to their bronze pilot bushing counter part?

I've never used one and I've never had a problem with the OE Oilite type OE bronze bushings, so I can't offer an opinion.

Why did you drag out a two-year old thread?
