    Cast iron Powerglide rear seal

Need to replace my rear seal on the Powerglide, slinging fluid... I was planning on jacking from rear end to tilt forward, how much fluid do I need to drain so it would drain out the back of the trans? Just need to get a big enough container if all 11 qts need to come out.

At least half of the total volume should stay in the torque converter.

You may loose up to one quirt or jack the rear of the Corvette up.

Seal is in, old one was toast... Just an FYI, when putting one of these in while trans is in car, opt for a 12" piece of 2" diameter pipe to clear the X frame... I went 6" and it was a bit tougher than it should have been.
