Early vs. late '66 BB fuel pump

What exactly changed with the BB fuel pumps in '66?

    Thanks,
    Steve

Primarily, it had to do with the configuration of the nipple of the fuel pump inlet chamber. Early 40366 had a welded-on, curved tube; later used a "welded"-on, machined brass fitting.

Any rough idea about when the change-over took place?

So it sounds like they would be interchangeable as far as function goes?

February 1966 from what I have read was the approx. changeover point.

100% interchangeable as far as functionality is concerned. In fact, the AC type number did not change when the inlet fitting changed. So, as far as GM was concerned, they were the same pump.
