    C1 Wiper Switch

The wiper switch I removed from the pod is a small rectangular unit with two electrical clips protruding from the bottom. The shaft that goes through the pod opening is threaded at the end and moves in and out. Am I correct in assuming that this is the proper unit for a nonwasher system? This washer switch is obviously completely different from the washer switch with cables. If correct, does the knob screw-on to the shaft? Thanks.

It is difficult to provide an answer without knowing what year you are referring to.

I believe that on all C1s the wiper knob is fastened to the shaft with a slotted set screw.
There are no electrical connections on the wiper switch under the dash. The switch is in the wiper motor assembly.

I determined the switch was not original. Thanks.
