Sal, there are many places and everyone has their favorite. Try Joe Ray, just let him know if you want just mechanical or mechanical and cosmetic. He is a long time member and can be reached at:

I used Harrison Speedometer and it turned out fantastic. Reasonably priced and Bill was great to work with. gldnkngt@comcast.net. www.harrisonspeedometer.com 561-676-3099.

Does anybody know of a way to bench test a C2 clock to make sure the problem is the clock and not the wiring?

              Re: clock

Connect the clock to a 12vdc battery, and let it run for awhile to see if it'll continue after a few days. Many times they run for a few "wind cycles" then quit.

Connect the pole on the rear of the clock to + and the case to -.

These clocks are mechanical, and are wound every few minutes by the battery. Typically the "electrical contacts" in the winding circuit are burned/corroded causing the clock to not wind.

I used D & M restorations in Greenville,SC for my 65 clock. Fast turn around clock works great.

I also used D&M in Greenville. Just happens that I also live in the Greenville area and have been to their shop. They do instrument repair on many types of cars.. Corvette being one of them. They do a lot of work on vintage classics. Their work is excellent.
