If you're talking about the number on a paper label affixed to the rear of the cluster assembly, it's the part number for that assembly. This is NOT a SERVICE part number and won't be found in a P&A catalog since the assembly was never available in SERVICE. For a 1971, I would expect the number to be GM #6491003.

What would 6491171-69 & 6497585-72 indicate? Would they past judging on a 1971? Thanks Paul

Seeing as no one in the NCRS is small enough or flexible enough to even think about looking at those labels, I think you'll do just fine.

The numbers 6497585-72 (top on bezel) and 6491171-69 (bottom of bezel) are stamped in the metal on the lower end. I just want to make sure it is th same as the 1971 bezel. I really appreciate your help.
