427 heat soak solenoid recommend

      remember those wire brush battery terminal cleaning tools that one end cleaned the battery terminal and the other end cleaned the cable end. they sold them for a good reason. i still have one around here some place. i bet they do not sell then any more but they may be back because the battery people are going away from the side terminal type. lead oxidizes very easy. here we go, http://www.automedia.com/Battery_Ter...cr20041201bt/1

        They're pretty easy to find. For the most part, only GM ever went to side terminal batteries. Most other manufacturers continued to use top terminal all along. So, the battery post cleaners never really went "out of style".

        GM started phasing back in top terminal batteries for, as I recall, the 2003 model year (or, thereabouts). They may be all top terminal by now.
