Hi,
I need to rebuild the CI PG on my '60, and it would be cheaper for me to remove it rather than having the trans shop do it. I've done an aluminum PG removal on a '64, but that had a nice flat bottom for the trans to sit on the trans jack and use chains to hold it all together.
Wanted to know if anyone out there has removed one of these before and if they have any recommendations on the overall process (e.g., rrecommend removing exhaust pipes, best way to hold back of engine up) and specific recommendations on how to best utilize the trans jack (I'll be doing this on a 2-post lift) to hold the trans for removal?
Always good to hear from someone who has done this before.
Cheers!
Garry
