I had "FUELIE" on my '63. I waited three years for the guy that had it before me to fail to renew. The car is gone but the license plate is hanging on the wall in my garage.

On my 54 in Oregon we put top rmn - thats for top raman noodles because after we rebuilt the 54 thats all we could afford to eat-hahaha

Have you thought about the year and the engine ID or your name/family members name and the year or engine ID? I bought my 67 in memory of my father and my tag is "L89ROD".

Before I finally decided to get my year of production plate, I checked the availibity of 55VETTE. Since I didn't think that there was another 55 in Louisiana, I was suprised when I folund out that it was taken. Sometime later, I was at a local Corvette club meeting when a member that knew that I had a 55 told me that he had seen a 55 in a warehouse that he was doing some work on. He said that the car belonged to a guy that had a lot of other cars in different warehouses in town, and that he didn't want people to know about it. He said he would try to get me in to see it He called me a couple of weeks ago and said that he got the ok for me to see it so I immediately got in the car and met him. As soon as I got in the building, the first thing that I saw was the license plate 55VETTE on a white vette. It hadn't been restored,but it was in pretty good condition. I looked at the CHEVROLET emblem on the car, and immediately noticed that the large V in it was missing. I opened the door and looked at the vin tag. He had put the 55VETTE license plate on a 54 vette.
