    C2 67 A/C Freon question

Does anyone know how many lbs/oz of freon in a 67 A/C system?

    Thanks, Terry

    Terry:

The original label on the compressor of my 1967 327/350 HP factory air car indicates that the system capacity is 3 lbs of R-12 refrigerant. This should be the same for both small and big block cars.

The 1967 GM Chassis Service Manual indicates Corvette system capacity is 3 lbs 4 oz of refrigerant.

I would charge 3 lbs and use my high/low gage readings, drier sight glass, and inside duct air temperature to make final adjustments.
