63 corvette hood latch

    IMPORTANT!
    That little brass thing with the set screw in it is NOT a stop.
    It is only there to adjust the proper length.
    The actual "Stop" is the 90 degree bend in the end of the wire that keeps the brass thing from slipping.

      Wow... I had no idea the rod was supposed to be bent 90 degrees at the outside of the brass thing. That rod has been straight from day one on my car. Thanks for the information. I've got to go look at my AIM to see the detail.

          I see the bend in the wire now. The passenger side hood latch is not on this page, but clearly item #45 applies to it.

          That AIM is one amazing book. It's hard to just go to the page with the info you want without spending another half hour just looking around.
