Last night I had nightmares in that I dreamed the welcoming party I am in charge of ran out of food. I hear that is a common thing in some of the regionals though. I do hope we don't have that problem. Those welcoming parties typically can cost in excess of 3000 buks you know. I do think they might be getting outta hand. But what do I know. Thanx, John D.[/quote]don't have any take out service or "doggie" bags available. you know how cheap these corvette owners are.

      I fully understand that nightmare.
I think that several of us over here are worried about that same occurrence.

Clem, lots of pizza's, refreshments and a cash bar work well and controls the costs. Good luck, Gary....

          John,

The last time I was at Seven Springs was June 2003, went out for PV testing. The show was pretty packed back then - plus the National was the following month at Hershey. I would have thought that show would have had a larger turn out, with everyone getting last minute judging before the big show. I was lucky enough to pass the PV on my first shot and got my Duntov the following month, location wise I could not have asked for much better then that. I am looking forward to coming back next month for the first time since 2003 ( as well as a friend of mine from New York ) as part of your Duntov display section. I have alot of great memories from my last visit, not only of getting the PV done - but also for the great show your Chapter conducted. I am the vice-chair of the Central Jersey Chapter so I know first hand alittle of what you guys are going through. I am sure this year's show will be bigger and better than ever before, look forward to seeing you in June. Good Luck!

PS - Hope you have room for everyone indoors.

JD, FIPhart, or what ever your name is today. The welcoming receptions should not be a seven course meal. It should be light finger food. Set the time you want it to start and do not start before then. Some people will come in early if you let them and try to make a major meal outta your finger food.

Me thinks that you need to set down and re-read the Chapter Operations Manual. There is a section on how to conduct a Regional. Most of what you have asked is addressed there
