    C1 Overheating

Hi - Is it common for stock c1's to run hot? In traffic my (restored) temp gauge goes 80% to the right. Should I consider an aftermarket auxillary fan? Mark (in SC)

    Mark,
Before doing anything I would suggest that you beg, borrow or buy a heat measuring gun. Check the temp at the sending unit and compare it to your gauge. Try and do it in a few temperature steps.
If you see a consistent difference you can possibly put a resistor in the line to lower the gauge reading.
This is a common C1 occurence.
    Good luck.
