Aren't these type of documents now being easily reproduced? I've seen them on FleaBay (I Think), where the guy even states he can make them look old/distressed, like they just came off the tank etc....

    BTW-I think it's a sin

Head casting dates are judged on some cars. For example big block cars with push-in oil caps. Right below the cap you can observe the casting number and date of the drivers side head.

Yeah they do but most anyone who is in the know can spot a phony made up tank sticker like this one for an L-89. At least I can. PT

I've seen a few fairly good reproduction Corvette Order Copys, but that one sure isn't one of them!

Unfortunately, the '67 thru '70 sheets are easier to pass off fraudent copies.

I assume you are talking about C-2 Corvettes my 70 Corvettes all have the last SN #'S along with the job #. My LT-1 coupe I taped a piece of plastic over it . My LT-1 conv tank rusted out so I took a lot of pictures with it on the tank before removing it. I would advise anyone to remove or secure the sticker. I didn't to my 454 that had one on it when I bought it. 3 years later when I painted the car I took the tank down & it was gone. Only the top was left. I was sick becaues it was a high optioned big block conv. I do have the POP.
