I have repro chrome fittings on my 40083 fuel pump. I just noticed that the LIC catalog shows brass fittings instead of chrome. The JG does not specify which is correct. Will the brass fittings seal any better, and which is correct?
I just fired up the engine for the first time after several years of restoration.
Then I noticed fuel leaking from everywhere.
It leaked from the sending unit, the fuel pump, and poured out of the secondaries. I corrected the sending unit and secondaries, but I always seem to struggle with getting the fuel pump fitting to seal.
