I agree with you, me either. Just reprinted stuff from various other GM Chevrolet sources. I'm certainly glad it was free, I couldn't see paying anything for it. On the other hand, if it contained info. pertaining to my V.I.N. than I would gladly pay the CENERAL.

I called a few days ago requesting a package for my 1957. The lady answering said she needed my VIN # which had to be either 8 or 16(?) characters. When I explained my VIN # was 10 characters, she was stumped. She went on to say that she couldn't send the package without the correct 8 or 16 digit number. Anyone else experience this and figure out a way to get it resolved?

Gerry, thanks for the reply. Here's what happen when I called for my 67. The man said the VIN #'s don't go back that far. He just needed the year. Suggest you call again and just tell them you want the resto package for year, IMHO, it's not that great. Bill.
