Re: 4360 1957 Fuel Injection
Larry, JD is not on here to drum up business as this ain't ebay and a parts forum, etc. But thanks for the plug.
Now let me tell you and the rest of the world something. The add on siphon breaker kit or shut off solenoid as we call it isn't meant to be the 100% cure all for an ailing fuel injection. It is a crutch like one for a broken leg. I always like to tell people that they should go after the problem in their FI unit to see why it failed and correct the situation. Then after they get a spider that won't leak down, after they get an anti-check ball in the fuel meter that has the correct aluminum ball and seats fine, after this and after that---- then they should install the siphon breaker kit and rest easily.
The reason though you see so few of our FI Corvettes with the original engine block is that they bit the dust because of FI unit failure. That's why all the resto blocks. GM lost a ton of FI warranty engines.
Well I am outta here now. Have lots of work to do. Buried. Don't call me world as I am booked. I do appreciate the business from the past though. Just turned 65 the other day. After I get unburied with boo coo POC FI units I plan to enjoy life more. Play with the Corvettes. Play with the blonds and have some fun.
Larry you should go to Spring Carlisle. Hang out at the trailer and listen to the guys ask the following. "How much does it cost to put a '57 unit on my 57 Belair". I betcha I will get that question about 100 times. One thing that has slowed down though is our 57 Corvette guys don't ask that question much any more. Thanks be to God. John D.
