The following number (as close as I can tell) is stamped on the engine pad (small block) of my 66 coupe; CEA13829 "I" or "1" not sure. Is it possible to decode this number to determine what the engine is from or what year it might be? The intake casting number appears to be 3965577 indicating possibly a 70's vintage engine. Thanks much.

Most CE blocks were GM replacement block. Casting # for most small blocks in the 70's for Corvettes was 3970010. Check the casting date tag.

3965577 is a 1970 Corvette 300 & 350 horsepower intake manifold.
