    Jim et al.
My original, March '65 has three wires, all inside the jacket. Colors are purple, white, blue (kind of a light blue).

    Hope this info is useful.

    Regards,
    Gene

A subject that still needs to be solved.
Have a list of pn - can we tie these pictures to a number?

        P&A DATE
        Date year part number
        10/62 1963 927132
        5/63 1963 927132
        7/63 1963 927132
        7/64 1963 910391 63AIM, Sec12 A7.00
        7/64 1964 910415 64AIM, pg D197, date 6-4-63
        10/65 1963-66 910552
        2/67 1963-67 910552

These may not be all of the pn, however. And if the subject light is a GM part would the change generate a new pn?

Michael, AS you well know we have covered this subject before about the ground wire. Maybe it was on VH's though.
So where is Jorjorian, Sadlock, and Dr. Chuck on this post. Yes this subject has been covered although as you said the ground wire was typically white. Strange though in that in the AC world the ground wire is typically green which leads me to believe that this one lite we are talking about may have had the ground wire changed.

Late 63 and most of '64 parking lites were just about the same weren't they. Both had the rubber boot the whole way up onto the socket. So then you are saying late late 64 did not have the rubber boot but could in fact have a white or maybe a green ground wire.
Those parking lites musta been a real problem child in the olden days due to the fact that they changed the configuration of the back side sooo many times.
